Yes, the NOON Lighting System supports multi-way configurations of up to four switches per circuit.
Each switch location must have a Line, Load, Ground, Neutral, and Traveler for proper installation in a multi-way configuration and all switches on the multi-way circuit must be replaced with NOON switches to maintain light control from each switch location. For more info, go here.
NOON can support multi-way configurations that have up to 4 switches controlling the same set of lights.
NOON switches replace the existing switches in your multi-way. Installation requires wiring NOON switches in place of your existing switches to maintain control of your lights.
During setup, the switches installed in your multi-way will be grouped together. The switches in a multi-way group communicate wirelessly with each other. Grouping keeps the switches in each multi-way in sync wirelessly.
NOON multi-way is wired in parallel on a multi-way circuit. NOON switches communicate light level and on/off wirelessly among one another. For more details, go here.
Yes, all switches on the multi-way circuit must be replaced with NOON switches if you want to maintain the same light control from each switch location as you had with your original light switches.
No, a Room Director is not required to be part of a multi-way group, but a multi-way group is required to be paired to a Room Director.
If installed correctly, the lights in the multi-way circuit will turn on when toggling the switch at any switch location. for more detail, read here.
Yes, you can dim from any end in a NOON multi-way, except when a NOON Extension On/Off switch is installed as part of that multi-way. In a multi-way which includes a mix of a NOON Dimmer and On/Off switch, you can still dim the light from the end that has the Dimmer installed.
Yes, as long there is access to a neutral wire, NOON switches in those locations will work. Read here for more detail.
Mixing NOON and 3rd party switches in a multi-way is not recommended as you would have to leave the third-party switch in the OFF position to allow NOON to control the circuit. Alternatively, you can disable the 3rd party switch on the circuit, and wire the NOON switch as a single-pole.
