A. Any phone or tablet running the latest Savant Power & Light app can deploy a Savant Power System operating on a Director+.
Q. Can I configure or reconfigure a system myself?
A. Savant-educated installers must consult with their customer prior to configuring their system to properly evaluate the requirements and goals of the customer so that it is setup correctly. If changes are necessary, reach out to your installer as they have the best knowledge and experience to correctly make any adjustments to your system. A system should only be configured by a qualified integrator or electrical contractor.
Q. Are there any steps to take before getting into the Savant Power & Light App that can make the process easier?
A. Yes, you can pre-configure the names, location, and slot position of installed and powered Power Modules. reference the Savant Power System Deployment Guide - Power & Light App. This information will automatically upload to the configuration when you connect to the companions to the Director.
Q. Can I setup which circuits remain powered during a power outage?
A. Yes, you can configure multiple energy scenes and select which circuits remain available and powered during a power outage.
Q. What can’t be configured?
A. You will not be able to configure a PV system, but energy monitoring will be available. PV inverter control will become available in the future.
