If your Savant Remote or Savant Blaster does not seem to be able to control your devices from more than a few feet away (after they've been properly installed), there are several possible steps to take to try to improve IR control range.
- Verify that the Savant Host and Remote Base are both plugged in and receiving power. For Blasters, verify that the batteries are correctly installed.
- Verify that the the status LEDs on each Savant device are solid green.
- Ensure that the devices in question have a clear line-of-sight with the corresponding Blaster or Remote Base.
- Ensure that all plastic film wrapping has been removed from the Blaster, Host, and Remote Base. If the plastic is not removed, it will prevent proper IR control.
